Changing QN language

Former Member

Hi SAPGurus!

Quality Notification are strictly bound to the SAP login language in our house.

Now a user accidentally created a notiofication in another language than intended.

I couldn't find an option to change the notications' language (KZMLA).

Does anybody know how to do this?

My best wishes

JL

Hello

I have the same issue when printing Quality notifications.

I think the best thing to do is to get the language code of the notification from the text table STXH instead of getting the primary language code from QALM-KZMLA.

The trick I did is to query STXH using TDOBJECT= QMEL and TDNAME = Notification number

Then I print all texts and long texts using this language code.

Hope it helps

Dear Jan

Is the notificaion created through QM01 or using BAPI? If it is one of a case then it is related to Translation and i think you can contact SAP for resolving this issue

Hi Sujit,

thank you 4 your answer, but this does not help at all.

Quality notifications carry a Language characteristic (KZMLA), it is e.g. saved in table QMEL or QMFE.

When a QN is created, the language is set due to the logon language.

This language needs to be changed. I am not aware of a corresponding option in the QM transactions. Changing the language entry 'dirty' in the table is pretty risky. There are a few tables that carry the KZMLA field. I am not sure of hitting each entry and furthermore i am a bit scared of what will happen if i have different KZMLA in the different notifications' tables.

Is there no way to change it over SAP standard?

high regards
