Support package error Phase RUN_SPAU_?:

Dear all,

I got error while applying support package , pls check below informaton.

The import was completed successfully. This means that all the

Repository objects that were imported are now activated in the shipped

original state.

The system detected however that 1 of the Repository objects in the

Support Packages have been modified in your system

Check whether you want to retain or restore these changes you have made

To do this, call transaction SPAU (choose 'Call SPAU').

Hi,

If you do not want to perform SPAU Adjustment upon prompt while applying Support Patch, then You can choose "Continue" and apply the running patch as you can handle such SPAU/SPDD Adjustment later on after completion of Support Patch application.

You can refer this useful document [SPDD & SPAU Adjustments Handbook|http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/709abcf3-7d77-2c10-8d86-b9d2cb01cf18?quicklink=index&overridelayout=true] to perform required SPAU/SPDD adjustment.

do not fix SPAU yourself if you do not know what you are doing - ask developers to do this - they should know what to do...

Hello,

this situation will occur in case some SAP report is modified by customer and then later delivered by SAP in support package. There are two versions that cannot be merged automatically (SAP cannot decide if and how to insert customer adjustments into new SAP code). And this is exactly what is asking at this step.

You need to call developers. They will have to run transaction SPAU and check which objects are in collision and fix them. Then you can continue.

On development system after consulting with developers you might agree to continue directly and let developers resolve conflicts later (applicable only for SPAU - never to this with SPDD). On production system you should already have transport in your hand that is fixing all collisions.

Note: It is recommended to check also transaction SPAU_ENH.
