BW Authorization for reports

Dear Experts,

We need to have authoriztion based on material group and country. how can i do this we are using 3.5

eg:

Say we got 2 material groups and 3 countries like CH, MY, SG.

Mr x can see the report for material group 1 for country CH only he should not see material group 1 for countries MY,SG.

and he can see material group 2 for countries CH,MY,SG.

Is it possible to define auth by this .

material group and country are auth revelant object .

Hi ,

You can create Auhtorization object with Mat group as restriction and Country as Restriction and rest of objects will have Full Access (*) .

Then you can get what you want

Pls try by making the following info objects as Authorization relevant:

0COUNTRY - Country

0MATL_GROUP - Material Group

I already mentioned that both objects are authorization relevant.

Hi Abi,

You can do this by defining Hierarchy authorizations. If you are on BW3.5, use transaction RSSM for defining such authorization hierarchies
