SNP does not create planned order

Hi All

I can't get SNP to generate planned order.

Sales order created in R3 transfered to APO.

All needed data was transfered:

Product/Location/Resources/PPM/PDS etc...

There is another similar product in APO for which SNP runs as expected.

Please advise what to check?

Hi Andrey,

check the following for the product/loc-

1. MRP type should be X0 ( I assume this is already there)

2. Procurement type should be- E or X

3. Check for SNP prod horizon

4.Check if SNP PPM/PDS is existing or not

5.Check if the PPM/PDS is still valid or not

6.Check for the resource capacity/lot size is available or not(if you are running optimiser)

7.Check if other optimiser parameters are maintained in the product master or not(if you are running optimiser)

8. Finally check if there is any enhancement put or not

2. Procurement type should be- E or X-> YES (X)

3. Check for SNP prod horizon ->0 in product master

4.Check if SNP PPM/PDS is existing or not-> exists

5.Check if the PPM/PDS is still valid or not-> Active

6.Check for the resource capacity/lot size is available or not(if you are running optimiser)-> for problem product number same resource is used as for product for which SNP runs correctly.

7.Check if other optimiser parameters are maintained in the product master or not(if you are running optimiser)-> i'm not running optimizer.

8. Finally check if there is any enhancement put or not. -> The similar product is planned by SNP correctly. Thus can conclude that no enhnacement is put.

What else can be?

which engine are you running for SNP? Heuristics or CTM?

Hi

Please check the lot size settings in the apo product master also in the PPM /PDS if you are using min/ max lotsize in PDS

Hi Andrey,

you can give another try by checking and comparing the two PDSs (one where heuristics is generating the plan and the other where it is not) and see if there is any difference between these two.

Also just recheck whether you have an SNP PDS.

I've partially found rout cause: it was PPM plan for SNP usage (S).

When i deleted plan S and left only P (for PP/DS), SNP created planned order okay.

Do you know why SNP does not work when there is a PPM for SNP usage?

Hi Andrey,

I am not sure when you say that system creates SNP planned orders without an SNP PPM. There is a check box in /sapapo/mvm where it is specified to the system to created planned orders without source of supply or not. Just check the status of this check box.

Ideally, if SNP PPM is created all good, system should plan for SNP Planned orders outside the SNP prod horizon as mentioned in the product master for that particular product.

Pls let me know your findings.

Thanks for you help!

The problem was in lot sizes: SNP PPM had max/min= 100 while product master data had blank fields.

After product master data was updated the same as SNP PPN SNP interactive planning was run correctly.
