Hi Every one,
When ever EDI is involved in a landscape, what r the changes that take place to any B2B scenario.
-Naveen.
Hi,
if you work a lot with ANSI X12 Files (like the 850), there are some more issues that you should take care of.
Most important should be the 997-file that usually needs to be sent back and checks whether the received files follows the standards (from a syntactical point of view).
The Seeburger-Adapters automatically check the syntax when doing the conversion to XML and creates here a report file and gives you a report, which can be sent back as a 997 to the partner.
On the Outbound side, an important thing is also the EDI-Counters which need to be persistant (and therfor cannot be handled with the Standard XI Counter-Function).
But here the Seeburger-Tools also provide some functions to integrate these counters and also to manually set or reset them to a specific value.
Regarding Itemfield, I don´t have yet a lot of information whether it supports all this EDI needs...
Hope this helps
Greetings
Stefan

Hi,
Option 1)
If you use SeeBurger Adapter, then it will convert EDI standards into xml format and then you can map accordingly as per the requirement
If you use this, I think you can get some standard mappings from Seeburger.
Option 2)
Your EDI system is able to give the xml file for you. Then you can use File Adapter and do the mapping as required
Option 3)
Using ItemField , you can convert the edi stadards and mapping easily.
