Is it possible to have same ID for two different users?

Yes. The block preventing the same Display Name from being used by two different users was not put in place until after both of these userids was created. There was no retroactive measures taken to force users prior to the block from changing their Display Names if they duplicated another. As you can imagine, it would have been quite chaotic to have done so.

Thanks for the reply.

Ofcourse its not a big issue with me. My only concern is if tomorrow for whatever reasons, id no 1 is to be penalised for whatever wrongdoings, the axe should not fall on id no 2 by mistake....

That wouldn't be happen. The actual userid behind the display name is unique. There is no possibility for a mistake.
