client export was canceled due to you can not transport specific objects

HI all,

MY O/s is windows 2003 with 64-bit and database sql server 2008 with

sp1(MSSQLSRV 9.0.3042) and sap is ECC 6.0 with EHP3.

I want to do export /import client copy from my prdoction server to (development/quality) server.

I checked my client settings in scc4,

Changes to automatic recording."

Client role : Production

Protection level =1

No changes to repository and cost customizing objects.

I have selected SAP_ALL profile, try to export by using back ground job, But my job has been cancelled.

I have checked in scc3, It is saying that

you can not transport client specific objects

change documents are not copied.

please can any body give me solution for it,

Hello,

Normally, when error

"You cannot transport client-specific objects" appears, user need to

check your settings in SCC4 and see does the client allow changes?

Otherwise, if you do not want to copy client-specific object, you may

delete this one.

Changing the settings in SCC4 will allow you immediately to perform the

export.

You can find further information in notes #24853, #70547 and #338578.

Iam trying to do export client copy iam getting working that

Do not change the setting in SCC4 for your Production system, I suggest you revert back to original.

How big your production database is? Have you followed my previous steps for schedule client copy as background job?

My database in aroung 85gb memory.

But i still not able to export client from 900,What is main reason for it,

Can any body help me.

Your database is very small. Can you please follow below procedure.

logon to client 900 (do not use sap* or ddic)

execute tcode- SCC8

select your profile as your requirement for example (SAP_CUST or SAP_ALL)

Select your target system from drop down.

Press Enter.

Now you will get information popup windows as Change documents are not copied. Just continue

Click on Start immediately.

Check the popup windows is all OK? (ie the profile source client etc)

Continue and next popup window you will transport request numbers please note down these.

Continue again

Wait for client to export.

If you are getting errors please update on which step you are getting error.

Welcome to SDN,

I think you need to do trick here.

SCC8 --> select profile and target system and then press enter. You will get the warning as change documents are not copied.

Then you schedule your client copy as background job.
