Hello everyone.
Can someone plz. tell me how the SPECIAL STOCK IS DERIVED IN REQUIREMENT CLASS.
The Special Stock Indicators like E or Q must be defined somewhere-can anyone tell me where?
Thanks in advance
Regards.

You yourself have indicated the answer. Special stock indicator is being determined based on your requirement class like
a) 040 - MTO
B) 042 - MTO
which you can see in OVZG

derived from some standard program
Sorry I am not getting you. For information, while creating sale order, system will give first preference to your requirement class and then only, your item category.
Whatever requirement class you see in OVZG are standard in-built program developed by SAP.
thanks

HI
In VOV7 you can assign the special stock indicator E Orders on hand
or Q for Project stock.
if it is make to order E is used and the Requirement class can be 040 or 042 and for Project stock it is 080
