Hi All,
we are planing to install the Anti-Virus-Software Forefront on our Windows SAP-Application-Server (Dialog Instances).
The exclude list for the virusscanner:
C:\usr\sap\MRP\D20\work
C:\usr\sap\DAA\SMDA97\work
C:\usr\sap\MRP\work
C:\WINDOWS\NTDS
C:\WINDOWS\NTFRS
C:\WINDOWS\SoftwareDistribution\Datastore
C:\WINDOWS\SYSVOL
On Sunday night we plan a full scan on the server.
Do you have any additions to the exclude list?
Thanks for your support.
Andreas

Ok, thanks for the notes.
We will exclude the following processes (not the processes in the message before):
disp+work.exe
gwrd.exe
icman.exe
igsmux.exe
igspw.exe
saphostexec.exe
saphttp.exe
saposcol.exe
saprouter.exe
sapstartsrv.exe
tnslsnr.exe
jstart.exe
And we think about to turn on the firewall.
Regards,
Andreas

I think a hyprid solution is the best.
We will start with the exclude dirs and this exclude processes:
disp+work.exe
gwrd.exe
icman.exe
igsmux.exe
igspw.exe
msg_server.exe
oracle.exe
saposcol.exe
saprouter.exe
sapstartsrv.exe
tnslsnr.exe
brbackup.exe
brarchive.exe
brrestore.exe
Thanks for your fast help!
Regards,
Andreas

We chose another avenue. We find that excluding directories or drives is dangerous.
instead, we chose to exclude some processes such as:
disp+work.exe
gwrd.exe
icman.exe
igsmux.exe
igspw.exe
msg_server.exe
oracle.exe
saposcol.exe
saprouter.exe
sapstartsrv.exe
tnslsnr.exe
brbackup.exe
brarchive.exe
brrestore.exe

Hi,
Here, the only SAP exclusive antivirus exclusion that we configure on abap dialog instance servers, is to exclude the icman.exe process to be "considered as a worm spreading spam emails". Otherwise, SAP has a lot of difficulties to send emails !
Of course on the abap DB/CI server we have set an exclusion for all database files.

Olivier
