Table E070 doesnt list the short text for one of the transport

Dear Gurus,

while selecting the Transports from E070 table in se16 , The short text field for one of the transport was empty

when i check the Tranport logs for the partciluar Transport Number in stms or se01 , I could see the Short text description,

Can you help me what is missing from my end ?

Is this your standard transport or 3rd party transport you have manually added to your STMS queue?

Did you add request manually in the Que or after release the request this request automatically populated in the que.

Try to import into test mode, hope you will get the transport description.

I tried to perform test import and now I can see the description, hope this also work for you. MAKE SURE YOU PERFORM TEST IMPORT.

logon to the system where you have issue

STMS --> Import overview --> select your SID --> select your transport --> click on import request button --> Here you see one test button next to Green tick. Just click. Make sure you read the next pop-up window which should say: Perform test import for request <your transport number> in system <Your SID>

Table E07T holds the short text.

Check if you get the short text for your transport there.

E070 holds the reference from the fiels AS4TEXT from E07T.

During the import runtime, you should get it in E070.

E07T table conatins the Short text i just confirmed but E070 have the short text field as blank for the same transport

Hi Sunil ,

Just for clarification purpose the TR is already imported in the Production server and doing the test import as suggested by you will be sox issue

Is there any work around

You can't perform test import if the transport request already imported. IF the transport already imported then the short text must be displayed. hm! let me think for other options.

You can still do test import even if the transport are importer earlier.

Also test import won't enter it in E070, it should happen only during the import.

Can you check if the field AS4TEXT in E070 coming from E07T?

you can F1 on short text field and go to technical data to see it.

Also confirm if you see short texts for other transports.
