while restoring back up, i am getting following error

Database - Oracle 10g with windows 2003 server

Hi Gouri,

Check whether the ora<SID> userID has permissions to create the directories mentioned below.

Definitely seems to be a permission issue.

Also, please let me know with which userID have you triggered the backup. Did you use <SID>adm or ora<SID>.

1) Check if drives exists on OS level

2) Check if logegd in user has enough auth to create directories

First thing i am restoring the backup on different system, in this system there was drive "E" and i change the drive letter to "G" through Disk management because backup was in "G" drive in main system and restarted the system.

If your target filesystem is different you need to modify the .af* file to reflect the filestructure of the target system.

Oh no! You have to copy the online/offline backup from your source system and paste to your target system under backup folder.

Then open the file and change the drive letter and SID as per your target server.

In the source system, under sapbackup directory you can find the .fn or .af file that you are using to retore into your target.

You need to copy this file to target system, adjust the drives and start the restore.

Are you able to create a directory under 'E:\ORACLE\HRP', manually by "<sid>adm" user? As far as I understand that this error occured at OS level.
