Hi experts,
Can I book an order with a ship to who is not assigned to the sold to ?
Ex: Sold to 1000 has 2 ship tos --> 1001 & 1002
Sold to 2000 has 1 ship to --> 2001
Can I book an order with Sold to 1000 and ship to 2001 ?
I am surprised to see this happen. My system (4.7) lets me do this. Looks like I need a patch update but thought I would confirm.
Thanks !

Yes, you can,
That is standard behavior.

Yes, you can do it in versions 4.7EE and above, provided the customer master exists for the ship to in this sales area.
I remember, it is not possible in 4.6C (and other older versions).
Thanks,
Ravi

In SD,
Each transaction recorded under specific sales area, it may be sales order / delivery or Billing.
When Sold to place the order, delivery can be anything who falls under this sales area ( sold to's sales area)
From system perspective, it will check whether entered ship to available in Sold to's sales area or not.
Hope it adds info.
