Available dates of sales order different in R3 & APO

Former Member

Hello

I have a issue for which the available dates in R3 & APO for sales order is different.

I tried to reconcile but the system doesn't picks this up as an inconsistency

Tried to change the date/qty of sales order in R3 but the issue exists.

Example: The sales order in r3 has a available date in Md04 as 11/05/2010 but in APO it is 11/04/2010

when I change the date to 11/06/2010 in r3 it becomes 11/05/2010.

The GR date does also matches in both system. So not sure why this inconsistency.

Deven,

If the differences are always less than a day, you may just be displaying the dates differently. In APO PP/DS, depending upon your settings, and upon the transaction you are using, you may be displaying the date/time in terms of the time zone of the location, or it may be displaying the time in the terms of the time zone of the logged on user, or in UTC, or in an alternate time zone selected by the user. R/3 generally displays dates/times according to R/3 system time (usually the timezone of the application server).

Agreed.

But then it should be true for all elements. I am having issue only with some sales orders.

Hi,

During the AC for the sales Order, the delivery date for the sales orders depends upon whether you are checking with Replinishment lead time or not.( Defined for the combination of checking group and Checking rule in Checking Scope)

The RLT is the time necessary to provide a material either by in-house production or by external procurement.

For external procurement, the replenishment lead time consists of the purchasing department processing time, planned delivery time, and goods receipt processing time and the ATP check only includes the planned delivery time.

1.If the replenishment lead time is taken into consideration, the availability is checked only for requirements within the replenishment lead time. Requirements outside the replenishment lead time are considered to be available as the system assumes that these materials can be provided by planning within the replenishment lead time.

2. If a requirement cannot be covered by receipts, the end of the replenishment lead time is the earliest date that the material can be confirmed.

3.If the replenishment lead time is not taken into consideration, the availability is checked for each requirement time without taking the replenishment lead time into consideration.

Thanks,

Deven,

So, are you saying that for a single user, and for a single plant (location), you are getting two sales orders, one of which matches (R/3 to APO), and the other does not match?

What methods are you using to determine and calculate picking/packing/route time in R/3? Are you determining these In APO? Are the shipping points the same for both orders?

Hello Deven.

Please try the follwoing things:

1) Check the logic that the Order finish date is based on only Availability date and GR time

2) Check the calendar is maintained in sync at both R/3 and in APO

3) Look at the sap notes 423626, 394113

4) Look at your setting under t-code /SAPAPO/CP3 for inhouse production orders as always retransfer.
