Restricting Access to sxmb_moni

Hello All,

Is there a way to restrict access to view messages generated from different business systems in sxmb_moni based on authorization roles. For example if a user has access to view all messages except the ones from System A then when the opens up sxmb_moni transaction he should be able to able to view all messages except the ones orginating from System A.

Hi Kiran -

Roles based on authorization object S_XMB_MONI will allow you to restrict access to messages in SXMB_MONI.

Hi Sameej,

Can we restrict it to not have access to just one system instead of adding all the systems which can be accesssed by the role. Also I would appreciate if you have any links for configuring the same ?

Hi Kiran -

I don't think you can specify a not equal condition in authorization values (never tried it). The configuration is same as what you do for any other authorization object. Check the below link for more details (skip the first portion which talks about creating authorization objects as it exists already in this case). Keep in mind that there are some standard roles & authorizations (like S_XMB_ALL) which you can readily use.
