Trip schema when creating a travel request

Hello,

Is it possible to choose a trip schema(table V_T706S) when creating a new travel request in transaction TRIP?

Hi Karim,

While creating travel request, you wont get an option of selecting trip schema. Because you are mapping the trip schema to the trip activity type, so that it automatically picks the respective trip schema mapped to the activity type.

Only when you are creating an expense report, the system will ask to choose trip schema and not while creating travel request.

but we need the user to choose the trip schema because our workflow behaves differentely according to the trip eschema.

Hi Karim,

Thats what I am saying, create activity types similar to Trip Schema and map the same, so that the workflows will trigger accordingly as per the trip schema.

Hi,

No, this is not recommended. You need to use the trip schema PL. Its not recommended to use other trip schema when creating trip request. This can create inconsistency later on.

Thanks for all your answers

I suggested to create groupings with same values as schemas in table TA23TVTTA_FIND, link them to the activity(table TA23R), and switch the decision in the WF according to the grouping value.
