BOM Usage and Phantom Flag

Hi Folks

We have a report which shows the material and equipment boms and ability to download to excel. This report uses the FM CS_BOM_EXPLOSION. In order to compare the report results, we run CS11 for the same material everything is perfact except the report does not show the Phantom Flag Indicator for BOM usage 9 however the same indicator is visible in the CS11 output.

Report does show the Phantom flag indicator when we run it for BOM usage 1 however it does not show that when the same report is run for BOM usage 9.

We have debugged the FM CS_BOM_EXPLOSION which is used in the above report and it is actually the FM which is behaving like this. It is populating Phantom Item Indicator for BOM usage 1 but its not doing that when tested with BOM usage 9.

Any idea, are we using the FM right?

From functional point of view, is there an explanation for such behaviour? Do we need to check any config?

Is BOM usage - 9 a customized one , according to your requirements ?

if so can you eloborate on the same ?

Thanks for your input. BOM usage 9 is standard. It is meant for planning. FM works great for bom usage 1 and it brings the phantom indicator in the output however it doesnt populate the indicator for BOM usage 9 although we can see it in master data.

Hello,

I think that there are only 8 BOM Usages in standard.

That might be the reason for this behaviour.
