PI711 Post Install: Client Copy & CTC Wizard

Hello,

I'm preparing the installation of PI 711 on Oracle 10.2/Windows 2003.

After the installatio, as mentionned in the installation guide,

we do not want to use client 001 as the production client, so we'll

have to perfrom a client copy.

My question is "when" do I have to execute the CTC Wizard after of

before the client copy.

According to sap note 1309239 - Configuration Wizard: PI NetWeaver

initial setup :

"Prerequisite is that you have manually performed a client copy and

changed the ABAP UME to the new client. This must have been done before

the CTC Wizard is executed."

But according to sap note 1115280 - PI CTC: Running SAP NW for PI in a

different client

Execute the CTC Wizard before you do the client copy

I am a little bit confused, what do I have to do first, after the

installation ; run the CTC Wizard or perfrom the client copy ?

Hi there,

If it's a post-installation, you may execute the wizard after the client copy.

And as an alternative, since it's not recommended to execute the wizard

more than once, you may check its steps by going to the link below.

Do the steps manually.
