SAP GUI Problem

Hi Everyone,

I am using SAP NETWEAVER 7.0 SR3 with ORACLE 10G database in both quality and production systems. when i was

trying to configure Transport Management System(TMS) it is giving the sap gui error.

At first i configure CTC then i configured TMS in one system ie quality system(Transport domain controller) and then i included

the production system to transport domain controller ie quality. When i am trying to build the Transport routes between these two

systems it is giving the error message " Invalid GUI input data: APPL data given, but no dynpro "

Can any one tell me what could be the issue and how to solve this issue.

Thank you

Hello,

The Java GUI does not work with the transport routes configuration part of the STMS.

You' ll have to use the SAP GUI for windows.

As already mentionned, there are limitations to the JAVA GUI usage.

The only GUI that fully works with SAP is still the SAPGUI for windows.

Regards,

Steve.

Dear Shiva,

Have you ever tried to connect to your SAP application using SAPGUI for Windows 7.10 or higher (recommended), from any Windows machine?

In our organization we use SAPGUI for Windows for any kind of work. Our application server configuration is ECC 6.0 with HP-UX.

SAPGUI for Java lacks many functionality such as

1. Office intergration into SAP transaction is not available.
2. Some GUI components like BEx explorer are not available.

3. Some control features are also not available such as SAP Smartform, advanced ABAP editor control.

4. Graphical screen painter is not available.

5. Translation of buildin texts like in logon windows or option menu are not available for all languages.

I hope this helps....

Hi,

As per [SAP Note 454939 - SAP GUI for Java limitations|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/454939], there are lot of things which are lacking in SAP GUI Java compare to SAP GUI Windows versions.

So *use SAP GUI for Windows 7.20 * for such administrative and other functionalities to avoid such unnecessary issues.

Hello,

this is due to the missing graphics components described in note

1418688.

The installer of the 7.10 versions still can be found on the ftp

server referenced in 146505.
