SCPM - User does not have the default role

hello,

currently we are implementing the scpm. we created testuser for the system, one user exist longer on the system and has no problems. the other is new and we have a problem with the message: ' User Test does not have the default role 'scpm user' assigned ' ...

we assigned the same roles as user one:

SAP_XA_SCPM_RUNTIME

SAP_XA_SCPM_USER

SAP_XA_USER

but for the second user doesn't work.

has anyone the same problem or better an idea for this problem ?

the problem is solved.

we created custom roles, but the Role 'SAP_XA_SCPM_USER' needs to have a Role Menu.

I have made this change and it works.

Hi Steffen,

I am glad to hear that you have been able to resolve the issue. You are right the application has a tree in the menu folder in ABAP which is used to represent all the reporting objects (Reports, Dashboards, Briefing Books, KPI's etc...) in the SCPM UI. So you can either create a new tree and associate it to the role or use the SAP delivered tree.

Do custom built roles work for SCPM or they need to work in conjuction with with SAP Delivered roles?

Hi Theon,

At the moment for SCPM 1.0 you have to grant the roles delivered out of the box. You can create additional roles and grant them in addition to the SAP delivered ones. For SCPM 2.0 this has changed, authorizations objects will be delivered which will make it possible to build your own roles.
