WD not supported by IE8

Hi All,

We recently upgraded our browser to IE8 and since then, we are encountering error on Portal ESS page,

*Sorry, your browser/program is not supported by Web Dynpro! *

Are there any issues with IE8 and portal ?

Hi Umang,

Some time it creates problem , but

You can try running IE 8 in compatibility mode.

But yet in Case of WD ABAP its giving error.

On some system its working and in some system its

creating problem . Don't know why ...

Better to run yr portal in IE6 or IE 7.

Note 1347768 - Web Dynpro and Microsoft Internet Explorer Version 8.0 Browser is not supported by Web Dynpro!

Hi Umang,

Please check the service market palce PAM for browser compatibilty for your server version. Apply the required patches for using IE8.
