BAPI_NETWORK_MAINTAIN and Budget check

We a created Ztransaction to create network using BAPI_NETWORK_MAINTAIN. But thou we dont use budget functionality in the project this FM does budget check. Why ao?

Check the status of the WBS element to which you are assigning the newly created NW/NWA. Budget will be checked only if WBS is having AVAC status.

Hi

Network will be created individually but the reading happens as project, WBS, activities and then network. When you upload the activities system will check for budget on WBS element. System may try to read the activities under network first (though they are not created) and thus checks for budget. I am not sure but when I checked up with SAP this is the answer from them.

Hi

When you check up internal structure of BAPI BAPI_network_maintain, it consists of activities (creation) which may prompt for budget check. Alternatively you can use BAPI_BUS2002_create or CN2002_network_create (this is not standard BAPI set up SAP) where in you may not get budget check at time of creation.
