Very busy TDMS control system

We have only one TDMS control system which has to do all TDMS requirements.

Last week, we started two independent (i.e. from 2 distinctive senders to 2 distinctive receivers)

TDMS packges (TDTIM and TDMDC) the same time.

Now both are very slow.

Could you tell ue how to halt one of them and how to reassume it later without starting from the beginning?

Hi,

1. "Start deletion of data in receiver system" -> This activity can be safely aborted using the troubleshooter. Execute the Troubleshooting using the Button provided. Here, Navigate to "STOP CLIENT DELETION" -> "Set parameter to stop client deletion". This way you may safely abort the Deletion activity.

When you want to resume with the deletion, you may again execute the troubleshooter and navigate to "STOP CLIENT DELETION" -> "Reset parameter to go on with client deletion".

2. "Start data selection for header tables" -> There is no troubleshooter to stop this activity and hence no defined safe way to abort it.

So I would suggest you to first stop with the execution of the package where the deletion is active and allow the package with the Data Selection active to complete. Once the selection is complete you may choose to switch between the packages as per your preference.

It will obviously slow down the speed as you are using the same system resources(work processes, hardware for the control system) for both the TDMS runs.

In what Phase you are currently in both the runs?

If you are still executing the Package settings phase for example , then stop executing activities for one of the combinations(sender/receiver , say run1 ) and once you are done with say Run1 compleletely(Data transfer Phase complete) , you can start the 2nd run , no need to start form scratch.

One is at the activity called "start deletion of data in receiver system" while another one is at " start selection for header tables".

How to cancel each of them while making sure we can restart each from the point it was cancelled?
