HI,
We are loading external supplier item in out SRM-MDM 3.0 catalog. Soem of the Items have additonal field which desbite the item in more detail (like length, color and so on). During the import we can easy add the field as attribute and see in the datamanager.
But whats about the SRM-UI. Is there a way to get the attribute field in the UI or do I really have to extend the repository ?
Regards,
Bernd
Hi Bernd
When importing the data in the Import Manager, map the values to attributes. In the SRM-MDM UI config page, add the Category field to (for example) the Item Details view. The attributes and their values will display under the Category.
Also, in the SRM-MDM UI config page, goto the Cusotmize Search tab and set the "Hierarchy" entry to "Category". Once done, users can search by attribute values once they have selected a category.
HTH,
Mark

Hi,
As mentioned by Mark, you can easily make attributes available on SRM-MDM Search UI by configuring the UI applications.
I would like to add to Mark's statement that you should have Role "UI configuration manager" assigned in MDM to configure the UI interface.
Also, link for UI interface will be as follows: http://<Java WEB AS>:<Java Port>/SRM-MDM/SRM_MDM
Open this link in a browser, connect to MDM server and catalog repository using user which has "UI configuration manager" role assigned in MDM. for example, Master, and complete the UI configurations.
Revert if any questions.
Best Regards,
Shiv
