Hi Experts,
We are facing issue in creating CUP requests.
We are running at RAR Patch 8, CUP Patch 8.1 and ERM patch 8.2
Our production system was running fine when suddenly yesterday CUP requests started giving error. First There were two requests submitted 5322 and 5323 , which actually gave error while submitting yet the notification mail to approver was triggered. Whne we checked the Number range, it is showing current as 5323 but hwhen we search request, the last request shows as 5320.
Afterwards no new request is being generated. Erro message is like " Error creating request"
We have checked following -
Tablespace
Archive directory
Connectors in RAR and CUP, URIs
Risk analysis in CUP for old requests
Nothing is wrong in these place. Any help is highly appreciated.
Thanks,
Sabita
Hi Sabita,
Can you check the error log and post it. This will help out to post you a quick solution.
Also, See SAP Note 1168508 which has lots of fixes. It is always recommended to be at the latest patch level.
Rgds,
Raghu

Sabita,
Message 'error creating request' would not tell us if the problem is with table space, number range, initiator, path, stage etc. Create one more number range and start it from '5330' (skip some numbers), activate it and try to create the request. If it doesn't work, please provide logs.

Thanks friends for your reply, Patch 8 has a bug, when two request are submitted at the same time it has problem in request number allocation, which is fixed in later patches but we are running on Patch 8 only.
As per suggested by SAP, we changed number range configuration and it is working now.

Sabita
