Upgrade the maxdb version 7.7.04.28 to 7707_22

Hi,

In my system maxdb version is :7.7.04.28 i want to upgrdate to 7707_22 version.mine enviroment is linux with maxdb.how to proceed for the same.

If you are SAP customer, please review the SAP note:

1020175 FAQ: MaxDB installation, upgrade or applying a patch

and

Please follow the SAP Note No. 735598 to update the maxdb database from 7.7.04.28 to 7.7.07.22.

Thannks,i executed ./SDBUPD successfully igave instance no and and passworsds.Iam getting below message.Iam first time doing this upgrade.

Hi,

download the target db files. Run ./sdbupdate script.

It will ask you for ID of your database which needs to be updated. Mention the same .

It will update the database to target database version.

when ima executing : ./SDBUPD iam getting error : exec format error.Binary file not executable.

Hi,

Please change the permission of the folder in which target version of Maxdb is extracted to 777. Use the command below.

chmod -R 777 <folder name>
