Downloading of data to an Excel from portal

Hi All,

I hava an issue while downloading the data from SAP portal, i have developed an ABAp webdynpro application by using ALV. When i am exporting the data to an excel the data is getting downloaded but with out any seperation.

Please provide me the solution to avoind this issue << Moderator message - Everyone's problem is important >>.

So - could you confirm? - you are using the standard ALV component and using the standard ALV export button to export to Excel - yet when you open the file in Excel the data is not formatted correctly?

How is the data formatted when you have exported it?

what version of Excel are you using? The standard export to excel functionality exports into an XML format - it should be impossible for this not to separate the data...

I am using the standard export functionality only. The issue the data is getting downloaded in the folling format with out any line seperation. I hope now the issue is clear.

sample1 November_test 7129 HR team 2
