Currently we use APO DP for forecasting and pass the forecasts to ECC for MPS/MRP planning, so there is no use made of APO SNP.
We now want to use APO SNP for rough cut capacity planning beyond the first two weeks in the future horizon, but continue to use ECC for the short term MPS, and for MRP for BOM components.
So, what is a sensible overall system design here?...
... is it something like:
- release DP forecasts across the full horizon to SNP
- run SNP with an SNP production horizon of 2 weeks
- pass SNP planned orders to ECC for the mid/long term MRP
- release DP forecasts for short term horizon to ECC for MPS/MRP in the short term
Any advice appreciated here.
