Procurement for Public Sector restrctions

0 Kudos

Hi, SRM Gurus.

On the page 46 of SAPSRM_EN_COL92_FV_Part_A4.pdf as Figure 30u2019s description is written about PPS restrictions: «...Furthermore, only one SAP ERP back-end system can be connected to the SAP SRM system. Multi back-end deployment is not supported for SAP Procurement for Public Sector.»

What does it mean? What is the techical side of this? Who is responsible for this?

Thanks.

Hi,

It means you can only have 1 back-end system connected with your SAP SRM extended classic PPS system. More then 1 back-end (R/3 systems) is unsupported.

Note: SRM on one client has the same restriction, one back-end system support only.

Kind regards,

Tim

Thank you!

Our client has 1 SRM installation(DS1), 2 different SRM Clients(DS1-221 and DS1-231) and 2 ERPs(DR2 and DR3). DR2 is connected to DS1-231 and DR3 is connected to DS1-221. PPS activated.

Does this landscape satisfy to "only have 1 back-end system connected with your SAP SRM extended classic PPS system"?

And you underlined "extended classic" phrase. Do you mean that extended classic scenario does not support multi ERP?

Hi Sergey,

Yes this landscape does satisfy the '1 back-end' maximum requirement.

|SRM-1| <-> |R/3-1| is ok

|SRM-1| <-> |R/3- 1| and |R/3- 2| is not ok

I underlined extended classic scenario cause it's the only scenario supported for a PPS enabled SRM system.

Kind regards,

Tim
