User not able to login after upgrade of kernel

Hi,

we completed our kernel upgrade activity for quality, during that time a update was cancelled for user "Update requests were deleted" for this particular user. Now since that time he is not able to login login screen hangs, In sm21 the error shows Delete session 001 after error 047. Please help

In SM21 you can also find the WP number, please see the related WP logs or request user to re-logon and check the current logs.

if possible paste few entries from the WP trace, make sure you select and copy correct WP and logs before you paste here.

Also can you please check is there any update request pending for this user?

19 oct At the time of upgrade 27 total error which same as below

Update requests were deleted (VBKEY = 4C751B3C54333B40E1000000AC190055, VBUSR =172939

Every time he tries to lgoin same errors comes

Not SM21 logs,

please go to SM50 and select WP no 2, from menu --> process --> trace --> display file. Make sure you copy and paste the logs after 12:00

There is a network error, please request your network team to investigate.

If you want you can request the user to ping to your SAP server. (If ping is enabled) lets check for the response and if there are any packet loss.

Is it possible to logon from your desktop/computer to SAP using his userID.

No i have tried from my laptop. It is same from every where. Do I restart the server again. i also updated sapbasis and sap abap patch for same system. They are in sync. But after upgarding patch i didnot restarted the server. Before that i upgraded kernel 254 then the server was restrted

I don't think so restart will help you to resolve this issue.

If you are able to logon from your laptop with your UserID without issues but only issue when you logon from your laptop using his userID.

Does this user has too many roles/profiles attached? for testing can you make a copy of this user and assign same access. Then try to logon with new userID.

i cannot login with his id on any machine.

I deleted the user then again created same user id. but issue is same. Not able to go to welcome screen after entering password however by right clicking and opening new session it goes to new session window and run all the tcodes. But when tring to go back to sap welcome screen not able to do so.

Can you check whether he has activated user menu? and his menu may have loo big?

Also what is this welcome screen do you have any picture loaded?

It was solved after we restarted our system.

Hi,

Check if there are any old sessions of that user in SM04. If you find any then choose log off system wide from User menu. Also, cehck in SM12 if any lock entries still exists with that user. If any then delete them when user is not logged in. Also do check in DB01 for any dead locks.

Try this and let us know.

I have checked all the entries, no dead lock, no user session & no update with this user id. When ever the user tries to login he is not able to go to welcome screen, it hangs. However when we right click and copen new session then new session windows open and from there he can run the tcodes. but when we try to go back from that screen to welcome screen it hangs. So basically the user is getting in to the system but not able to access the welcome screen

The databese is ORACLE 10.1.0.

Hi ,

SAP doesn't support oracle 10.1.0..

You have to upgrade your oracle patch from 10.1.0 to 10.2.0.2 Minmum for SAP support.

im sorry i typed in wrong information it is already 10.2.0.2. we do get support from sap. But thought of solving it myself with the help of you experts. And according to me it is not database issue. no other user is facing any such issue. It is i suppose dispatcher issue.
