Hi GTS experts,
I am dealing with a requirement on the Excise Monitoring Control System (EMCS) which is being released by the EU and means that as of January 1st 2011 companies within the EU are legally obliged to e-file for excise movements.
I would like to clarify two things with you:
1. Timeline and country scope:
- My understanding is that DE is already supported and that NL and BE are coming next month.
DE was included in SP12 of GTS8.0. According to my understanding, GTS 10.0 apparently
includes further EMCS features (even if only UI related ones).
- UK and FR are supposed to follow next year
--> Who is clear on the SAP build of further countries?
2. Scope overlap of GTS EMCS with the MM-IM-ED component:
- Is GTS supposed to fully replace the inventory management functionality currently covered
by MM-IM or does the solution foresee to keep MM-IM-ED and GTS EMCS in parallel?
- In case MM-IM-ED and GTS EMCS are to be used in parallel, what is the relationship between both?
What data is supposed to be interfaced?
Thanks a lot, looking forward to a lively discussion on this with you!
Best regards,
Martin
Dear all,
as this topic should be of interest for most of the GTS folks here in Europe, I am pushing this thread back to page one.
