When we generate the proxy in SPROXY for the inbound interfaces to R/3, it automatically generates the prxoy, the provider class and the data types etc..
However I see in some case there is also WebService Definition being generated (Section Interfcae, Below Provider Class you will find the WebService Definition in the properties Tab).
How and when this gets generated?
I have two inbound interfaces to r/3. For both the scenarion is JMS->PI->R/3 and both used teh external definitions in PI(No manual data type).
I am surprised to see that I find the WebService Definition only in on case.
Could you please explain how this happens, when and Why?
Thanks
Sanjaya

Sanjay,
A server proxy on R3 can also be exposed as a web service. This is the case with all the proxies generated and you should see the WSDL tab in all the cases. It is independent of whether you used external definition in the ibound interface definition. Of course R3 4.7 does not support proxy generation (WAS>=6.40) for an inbound interface with an external definition.
