Restrict UD code change after stock posting

Hi !

Once result rec, ud and stock posting done, we can change the UD code from QA32/33. Can UD code be made greyed once stock posting done?

It can be possible through User status profile also.

create1 user status profile QM_NCHUD- Change in ud not allowed aft posing

1 10 ud made X 1 10 1 1

2 20 no change in ud 2 20 1 1

for 1

Make usage decision allowed set

for 2

Change usage decision forbidden

Complete inventory posting allowed set

save

open inspection type settings for inspection type u want this lock

attach user status QM_NCHUD in that insp. type

create new lot and try.

UD and stock posting are two different processes and while we usually and often consider them as one, they can be done independently of each other.

Greying out the UD button on the QA32/33/ is not possible.

The suggestions made above are used to set up user statuses to interlock the UD and stock posting together so that one cannot be done without doing the other. It will have no effect on grerying out the UD button on the QA32/33 screen.

To prevent a user from coming back in and changing an exisitng UD to a different code, you should block the applicable users from being able to use QA12. Let them use QA11 to make the initial UD.

Make sure you give some supervisors access to QA12 in order to make changes when they are required.

With standard only option is to restrict QA12 transaction code or activity object for Q_UD_CODE
