Query regarding Transport using File transport system

Hi experts,

We have an Idoc to FTP scenario.

For eg:

DEV - Development

QUAL-Quality

PROD-Production

1. Do we need to include Idoc while exporting the objects from DEV system?

2. After doing the transport from DEV to QUAL, can we use the same transport ID to transport from QUAL to PROD?

3. What are changes which needs to manually changed while doing this transport?

Note: We use "File transport system" for transporting from one environment to other. We are using 7.0 version.

Hi,

1. Do we need to include Idoc while exporting the objects from DEV system? 

Yes, you have to include idocs as well.

2. After doing the transport from DEV to QUAL, can we use the same transport ID to transport from QUAL to PROD? 

Yes, and this is the recommended way also.

3. What are changes which needs to manually changed while doing this transport?

There is no manual change as such except for the one suggested in the above post by Raja.

Hi,

When you trasport software comnponent all objects including (IDocs/RFC's) will be trasported, you have ption to select deleted objects required or not.
