SMDAgent stopped

Hi

I am having the problem with SMD is stopped

- windows server 2008

- SQL 2008

- SAP-JEE 7.00 SP 14

Hello,

Can you please if the configuration file

\usr\sap\sid\J98\SMDAgent\configuration" is really existing?

If the files is there, then there might be a problem with file

permissions

SMD Agent installation, so please double check that you followed all

steps within "Diagnostics Agent Setup" Guide. Also have a look at Note

1144737 - Inst.NW 7.0 SR3 - Diagnostics Agent installation

Dear

Reinstall the agent would most likely fix the issue but I would recommend you check the prerequisites for the diagnostics agent 7.11 (need high enough version Solution Manager) as this agent runs on SAP JVM and not on OS JVM.

SAP JVM offers better stability and patches are released more frequent to solve issues, you can install the agent and use the latest available SAP JVM SAR file to have the latest version directly installed.

Hi,

There is warning in your log file - WARNING => Can't open default profile [C:\usr\sap\SMD\J98\..\SYS\profile\DEFAULT.PFL] for migration .

Can you checlk DEFAULT profile has enough access ?

Hello,

Could you paste some more logs from /usr/sap/SMD/J<instance no>/work - std_SMDAgent.out, dev_jcontrol.

Also check your java home is set properly. Try to restart once again.
