Unable to read data from SAP MarketPlace. Check your settings and try again

Hi All,

I am having problems with my SAP Download Manager. I can select the files and they appear in my Download Manager Queue (both in SMP and the client on my PC) just fine. But when I start the download, across the bottom of the window it reads: Unable to read data from SAP MarketPlace. Check your settings and try again.

My Address is: http://service.sap.com

My User ID is correct

My password is correct

I checked with the Network group and they assure me there is no Proxy.

In Service Market Place I have authority for software downloads

My Java is version 1.4.2_04

This is happening on two different workstations.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks!

Diana

Hello,

Have you made any recent changes on solman ? like solman_setup execution , after SP upgrade.

If you are trying download the component from client XXX(800) ---> please try to put you S-user ID on 001 client also,

Go-to T-code AIsuser on 001 client create the same user as in XXX(800) and maintaintain your S-user ID details, then try to re-execute you task form XXX(800) client it should work.

Hello Jude,

Thank you for the suggestions. Nothing has been done to the Solution Manager system. I did try your suggestion of adding the AISUSER in 001, but this did not help.

Thanks!

The Network group has told me they are seeing an error 301 from the SAP server when I try to download.

Thanks,

Diana

Hello,

Go to tools>internet options> click on LAN settings>under Proxy server>

Can you tell us is there any proxy IP address which passes through?

If No then please add these exception on the same LAN settings tab click on advance button, under the Colum of Do not use Proxy server for addresses beginning with there.

Copy the host and the port name of the download error page. save the changes and try .

Example :- FQDN ---> sXXXX02.abz.corpdir.net:8000;

Type *abz.corpdir.net:8000; on the advanced tab save these entries and try.

My issue was resolved by our Network Group. They added 'sap.com' to the Web Filter.

Thanks for everyone's input.

Hello Diana,

Have you checked SAP Note 155954 - SAP Service Marketplace: Proxy addresses ?

Also SAP Note 401196 Download Manager: Proxy configuration problems

and SAP Note 401195 Download Manager: Unable to read basket content

These may prove helpful.

Paul

Hi Paul,

As stated in my original message, there are no proxy's in the network.

Thanks,
