Dear All,
My PSAPTemp in the BW system is getting full during loads leading to dumps. We load over 100GB of data a day. Are there any options around this problem?
Regards,
Jack Silverz
Hi Jack,
Please follow below notes
Note 659946 - FAQ: Temporary tablespaces
Note 387946 - USE OF LOCALLY MANAGED TABLESPACES FOR BW SYSTEMS
Hope this helps.

Hi Jack,
Whats the size of the PSAPTEMP tablespace in your BW system ?
Also, howz the loading of the 100 GB data organised in the system? Is it spread in chunks or is that load run at once?
Because, if you load 100 GB of data during a single data load run, please ensure that PSAPTEMP is atleast a bit more than 100 GB.
Otherwise, you can divide the overall data load size into chunks and do the loading multiple times in a day. In that case, the PSAPTEMP tablespace size can be comparitively smaller and yet can be used effectively.
It would not be a wise decision to allocate a large amount of space to PSAPTEMP because some of that space can be used for other effective purposes.
Hope this helps.

Hari Kishan
