Dear all,
We encounter error when using printer type L in SAP.
If we using type SWIN it didn't error, but if we change the printer type into L it give an error.
Device Type: EPESCP9
Printer: Epson LQ2180
Access Method: L:Print Localy using LP/LR
the error is 'Table COMPANY_TEMPLATE doesn't fit into window'. message number SSFCOMPOSER173.
Please your advice on this issue
Thanks and Best Regards,
Widi
Hi Widi,
This problem is due to the device type EPESCP9 . For the device types of a line printer(driver STN2), the SAP system
must use spaces and empty lines to place the text. This is a limitation of the ESC/P printer language. To do this, Smartforms rounds all coordinates(of the table cells and the window). Only after this step it checks, whether the table fits into the window. You should increase the size of the window a little as a solution.
Another possibility as you have already seen is to print to your dot matrix printer via windows device type SAPWIN with printer connected to a windows system which will utilize the windows printer driver.
Regards,
Aidan

Dear Aidan,
Many Thanks for your updates, right now we didn't face the error like when print preview the document before.
We already ajust the size in the smartforms, but then we face other issue, the document result didn't as expected. There still someting missed in the result. The result is not as expected like if using Device Type SWIN. Do you have other suggestion?
Thanks and Best Regards,
WIdi
