Hi there,
I have a serious problem which i've never faced...so i decided to ask help for you!
My need is deleting a client from a SAP system (project environment) but i've been facing problems with the tablespace UNDO which has no longer available space to grow up!
So, i dont know how to solve this...is there any way to "clean" the tablespace UNDO in order to allow me to perform this delete?
I thought to delete the data in small blocks....
Could you help me please?
Thanks in advance,
Dany Anderson
you can change the UNDO_RETENTION parmeter, by default value is 12 hrs (43200 secs)
show parameter UNDO_RETENTION
set to 0

I would suggest to go for this method for client deletion -

Dany ,
you have 2 options
1) Set UNDO_RETENTION = 0
or
2) Increase Undo tablespace
But i suggest to set UNDO_RETENION 0 for the period you are deleting Client.
Also you can refer Note 600141 - Oracle9i: Automatic UNDO Management
