Uninstall "BI Java" usage type on EP system

Hello,

Wrongly we installed usage type "Business Intelligence" (only bi java) on our Enterprise Portal (usage types: ep, ep core, application server java).

Is there a way to uninstall the BI usage type? (JSPM, SAPINST)

Perhaps if we undeploy manual via sdm?

BI BASE SERVICES 7.01 > all SDA's

BI INFORM. BROADCASTING 7.01 > all SDA's

BI REPORTING AND PLANNING 7.01 > all SDA's

BI WEB APPLICATIONS 7.01 > all SDA's

BI WEBDYNPRO ALV 7.01 > all SDA's

~ 200 sda's

Best Regards,

Hi

JSPM or SAPINST doesn't work in undeployment of files, as said by sunny you should use SDM (Software Deployment Manager) to undeploy those software components

ok - but is this really the normal way to delete "usage types"?

In my example:

1. First of all, identify the sca-archives for "BI Java" Usage Type:

a) Download /sp-stacks, Usage type: Application Server Java, EP Core, Enterprise Portal

b) Download /sp-stacks, Usage type: Application Server Java, EP Core, Enterprise Portal + Business Intelligence

c) The DELTA are the sca-archives for "BI Java" Usage Type

In my case:

> BIBASES07_0-10005888.SCA

> BIIBC07_0-20002782.SCA

> BIREPPLAN07_0-10005889.SCA

> BIWDALV07_0-10005890.SCA

> BIWEBAPP07_0-20002783.SCA

> VCKITBI07_0-20002815.SCA

2. Unzip the DELTA sca's. In the folder ..\DEPLOYARCHIVES all corresponding subarchives (sda's) are listed.

3. In sdm: mark these subarchives and undeploy them.

Hi,

Yes, this is correct. You can un-install it.

Thanks

Additional for information, the notice from SAP (OSS Message):

"

unfortunately our next level of support has confirmed that there's no

official (supported) way to uninstall a usage type BI java from the

system.

Hi,

You need to use SDM to un-deploy it.

Thanks
