Need for the Promotion Key Figure

Hello Colleagues,

In the Promotion Planning, one of the step includes Maintaining Keyfigure for Promotion Planning. Here we mention the Planning area and the corresponding Promotion Keyfigure.

What is the role of this promotion keyfigure(example: 9APROM) in the promotion planning process, while we have the planning keyfigure already (say Forecast)?

Hi Guru,

When standard promotion planning functionality from APO DP is used, promotions are planned herein.

This is sepearte than the forecasts generation process.

Promotions are storted in the promotions key figure.

A demand planner checks the statistcially generated forecasts and the promotions and makes the final adjustments to the demand plan.The demand plan (the sum of the baseline forecast, the promotion plan and the final adjustments) is released to SNP.
