Hi Experts,

I want to know how to create a migration object in transaction Emigall.

The legacy file shoud be in which formate - in excel or text or any other format?

How to load the legacy file in transaction Emigall ?

Can anyone give me an example - a step by step approach using Object Document or Connobj or anyother migration object.

Thanks,

Hi Kumar,

If you need a standard SAP object (like CONNOBJ, PARTNER) then copy it from SAP company. The step is:

Choose the migration object from company SAP.Then Migration Object -> Copy. Give the details of your Target company.

The legacy file is preffered to be in tab delimited text file format.

Before loading the file it need to be converted into emigall format. After choosing the migration object select Data Import. From the Import screen Utilities -> Convert Migration File -> Fill the details regarding your file & then execute it. Or for a test run u can follow this option. Give a file name in Data Import screen. Click create button. Next screen is displayed. Edit-> Data-> Upload.

Use the tcose EQ81 to get the documentation regarding ISMW.

Anu
