Would SOBJ be useful to make table entries maintainable in PRD

Hello,

I have a requirement to make table entries for a Particular Custom Created table editable in Production all the while its transportable from the development too.

This is required, since we have entries we need to transport from the Development client but we might have to make changes once its in production or make new entries too.

Please let me know if this is possible using SOBJ?

How is SOBJ transaction useful?
