How to Schedule Background Job to Update the PP/DS Planning Procedure

Hi SAP Expert,

I'm trying to do a schedule job to update the APO PP/DS "Planning Procedure". But, I can't find the variant that I have created in MASSD when I try to schedule the job using job wizard (SM36).

For your information, I put the program name as MASSBACK.

Can anyone help on this?

You will not see the variant that was created in MASSD.

To create a variant for background scheduling,

1. Go to SE38 and program MASSBACK and execute.

2. On selection screen, give the Location and Variant Name (created in MASSD)

3. In the taskbar, select Goto>>Variants>>Save as variant and provide details and save.

Now you will see this variant in SM36

Hooi Chia,

At the same time you change planning procedure, you also need to change all of the existing customer requirements. You generally should not use MASSD to change planning procedure, unless you are sure there are no existing requirements elements for those products.

You should instead use Transaction /SAPAPO/RRP_SET_RRPT.
