Value maintained in SAP Auth field on service disappears after regeneration

Good day,

In an attempt to secure SAP services, we are maintaining the field SAP Authoriz. which when maintained forces an authorisation check for the object S_ICF when a service is called. Works very similarly to using an auth group....

This is maintained on the Service Data tab in SICF, when maintaining a specific service.

However, when the service is regenerated the value disappears - and our control no longer applies.

Apart from checking each service before it is transported, there is no way to ensure that the field value is still maintained.

Has anyone experienced a similar issue? Are there any known solutions to this?

Any help would be greatly appreciated...

Morar,

As per my understanding the S_ADMI_FCD with Value ICFA restricts to maintain SICF. Ensure that this authorization is available. Futher restrictions on services and the details are available at:

I infer that the issue is with the settings that you have made and nothing to do with the authorization values. I also recommend you to visit the below website which may help you with some clues:
