Defining own periods in the Planning

Hi All

How to define user specific periods in Demand Planning?

We want to do plan in 3 periods in the Month which mean each bucket should be 10days aggregated.(we only have Daily, Weekly, Quarterly and Yearly in the DP)

Example:

1) January = 31 days

Time Buckets should be = 10days for first period ; 10days for second period and 11 days for 3rd period.

2)Feb = 28 days

Time Buckets should be = 10days ; 10days ; 8 days

3)April = 30 days

Time Bucket should be = 10days ; 10 Days ; 10 Days

I can see the User Defined periodicity option in the time bucket profile .Please give your advise as well suggestion.

Thanks in advance.

Regards

Vicky

Hi Vicky,

This is looks complex. This is exceptional, I don't think anybody come across this kind of requirement.

As the Storage bucket profile monthly, weekly, etc would help for your scenario. You can go with the Posting period option which requires Fiscal year variant. If you have Fiscal year variant with splitup of 10 days as a period, I believe you can acheive this.

In OB29 transaction you can define your custom Fiscal year variant (Get help from some FI user, usually they will do this).

Hope this will help and let us know if you face any issues.
