Preference Rules - HS codes and VE65

Hi Gurus,

I have a situation where HS Codes have been entered in SAP with decimals / periods e.g. 2106.90.18

Now when I try to enter the preference rules ( VE65 ) the system does not allow typing in beyond 2101.90.

That is, the last 2 digits can not be entered

Is there a solution? Can I get the system to accept values beyond 2nd decimal ?

Would appreciate help / feedback / comments

If I am correct, in VE65, you need to maintain without decimals only in which case, your requirement can be met.
