Hi experts,
I´m patching my system ERP 6.0 with this patches:
- ABA 19, 20, 21
- BASIS 19, 20, 21
- SAP_APPL 16, 17
- SAP_AP 16, 17, 18, 19, 20
- PI_BASIS 19, 20, 21
- SAP_BW 21, 22, 23
I have the last kernel and last spam.
The time by now is more than 15hours, the phase TBATG CONVERSION OF DD-OBJECTS is more than 10 hours and the data file growth (each one) more than 8GB, in total, more than 42GB, is it normal?
I check that executed a job with a program RDDGENBB with variant SQLT, TABL, VIEW e INDX in upgrade.
Now is in the phase TBATG CREATION OF ENQUEUE OBJECTS, in the sm50 appear a report SAPLOLEA more than 45.000seconds.
Seems all normal?
Thanks in advaced,
Regards,
This is a known problem.
when you tried to start your support pack import in SPAM, you got a very detailed popup telling you to read SAP note 822379.
You did not read SAP note 822379 - Known problems with Support Packages in SAP NW 7.0x AS ABAP. it tells you to read SAP note 1283197 - Cluster tables: Unrequired conversion
An error in the DDIC activation program causes cluster tables to be converted.
Symptom: When you activate DDIC objects, information in runtime objects may be lost under certain circumstances. As a result, cluster tables are converted. This is incorrect.
Solution: See Note 1283197 and implement the correction instructions specified in it before you import Support Packages.
so, you have 2 possible solutions:
1. you continue to wait a long time.
2. you restore , apply the SAP note and run your support packs again.
been there, done that.

Thanks in advanced,
Yes, this is normal.
After the process you may be able to recover some of the space, but it is best to leave it allocated to the database.

you can check whats going on at OS level, usr\sap\trans\tmp sort files by date/time. As this is windows you can't do tail -f so you have to copy the latest file to different location and open the file and check whats going on.
