Hi All,
One question, I know SAP is not providing SFTP adapter it is providing FTP adapter in PI.
And many other companies are developing SFTP adapter and selling in market.
But I am curious why SAP is not providing SFTP adapter, it is a very small effort to add SFTP adapter in PI for SAP?
Is SFTP is not recommended for business(ERP) for security point of view or any other business/technical reason?
Regards
The SAP Note -Note 821267 -has this information
28. sftp Support
Q: Does the File Adapter support the sftp (File Transfer over SSH) protocol?
A: No, this protocol is not supported and there are currently no plans to implement sftp support in the File Adapter.
Don't know the exact reason why SAP don't have any plans for it.
So, we need to depend on alternatives available for SFTP in PI. Refer these-

Hello Harsha,
Therefore anybody deployed AdvantcoSFTPAdapter.lic ?
Usually we get a license key from advantco.com.
1. How to deploy or store a new AdvantcoSFTPAdapter.lic file in PI 7.1 higher application.
2. Is there any prerequisite or pre-steps to be taken care.
3. Is PI box or any one component enough to restart is required?
for example: message or AFC
Appreciate your help.
Regards
Susi
