Visual Administrator :- error unable to lookup connection default !

Dear All,

I have installed Ecc 6.0 and restored back on it with DB as oracle

system is working find, but my java stack seems to have some issue,

when i start visual administrato :- It throws an error unable to look-up connection default

http://host:8101/msgserver/test/logon returned empty list of connection parameters

I have the Same Issue. i have upgraded my sybase from 15.7.0.42 to 15.7.0.110.

My Disp+work.exe is yellow and says "j2ee status info unavailable" .

and also when I am trying to login to j2ee Visual Administrator it says unable to look up connection default.

kindly help in resolving the issue

Dear all,

i dont find any log files on this name dev_server0 or std_server0, when i open my console under the j2ee proces table it says there is no item to display.

i am not sure what is worng.

Hi Jude,

The files I mentioned are in <j2ee engine>\work directory.

e.g. /usr/sap/SID/work

or /usr/sap/SID/DVEBMGS<n0>/work

For Visual admin to work, the j2ee engine has to be up and running. Is your engine up? You can paste dev_server0 - relevant excerpt and std_server0 - relevant excerpt here for further analysis.

Hi,

In case of Java, db restore method does not work as for Java most of the settings lies in file system because of this mismatch your Java is not coming up. For the initial troubleshooting, check in configtool, it will contain hostname entry of the system whose backup you have restored and change it to hostname of your ECC system and then try. This is not official method but you can give a try.
