How we will change the mandatory field to optional in manual inspection lot

When I create any manual inspection i have to enter inspection lot quantity without quantity system should not allow to another tab

how to chage this mandatory field to option field any configuration settings is need kindly guide me.

Why do you want this optional? The system can't process the lot without it. That's why its mandatory.

Becuase they dont know quantity

like we are suggest for Mine exploration sample in exploration from depth to todepth they are explose every day so every day against depth they enter results.

Do they eventually know the qty? While not ideal, they could enter a 1 for qty. Then they will have the inspection lot they can refer to. Once they know the qty, they can go to qa02 and reset the sample, enter in the correct qty and recalculate. Then they can go enter the results.
